If you use keyboard to navigate, you might have had this worry While signing in to your account, Shift the control to the checkbox by pressing TAB then press SPACE. Ufff.! just pressing SPACE BAR  .!

If you have a blog with the subdomain on blogspot you might have seen the default blogger post title which will be like this- blog Title:post title isn’t it bit odd..?? Not just odd but a must avoid thing to do with blogger if you have to optimize your pages for the search engines.

I was searching blogger help to patch this odd thing up.
I just went through all the available tags for a classic template ,some of those were much useful and i packed them just as needed.It worked ..! and works with all the classic templates but one thing i failed to do is to optimize the title of label page.I searched blogger help to find any tag that supports us to have separate title for labels but found none.You are welcome to suggest us (me+bloggers) the way to optimize the title of label pages (in classic template)

Replace the title with your blog title.you can have the main page title as big as 50 charecters,this will appear only on main page,so no need to keep it short.

This section provides separate title for your posts and your post titles will be free from your blog title.The default title for your posts seems like this …. “blog title:post title“. With this trick the title of your post will only be the post title.

While installing google tool bar for firefox if you encounter a situation where the firefox blocks google tool bar ,and if the EDIT OPTION button in the warning message on the top right below the bookmarks toolbar doesn’t work ..???

This has happened to me sometime, i don’t know what the reason is. After clicking the edit option in the warning message the options window has to pop up ,if it doesn’t you can still edit the options manually.

Go to Tools >> options >> security >> exceptions ( in front of warn me when sites try to install add-ons ) >> type in tools.google.com into the input form >> click allow >> close .

After Doing this close the currently using browser window and reopen it. Now if you try to install google tool bar there should be no problem. Try that and if you can’t still get rid of the problem please let me know through the comment form.

This post seems as just an extension of the last post i wrote here on my blog.But this one can be helpful for those who are desperate in search of this,infact i needed it myself on my blogspot blog.

Let me say what the attributes in the code do for you and how to use this code
1# If you are using classic template reaplace the <$BlogItemCreate$> tag by the code aboce and if you are using layouts replace the section by the same code above.

2# The blogid shown here in the code section is mine and you have to replace with your blogs id.The rest of the code section will work fine without any change.

To change the look of pop up comment window
1# Popup=true ;This attribute makes the comment window open as a pop up.(comments and comment form lying one below the other.)
popup=false ;will open the normal window (comment form and comments lying side by side) but the size remains to be the mentioned.

2# toolbar=0;toolbars doesn’t appear
toolbar=1;toolbars (window default+google on my comp).

3# scrollbars=0;scrollbar doesn’t appear.
scrollbars=1;scrollbar appears and helps in easy navigation

4# location=0;no address bar
location=1;with address bar

5# Menubar and statusbars will be displayed for their value =1 and won’t be displayed for their value=0 .

6# resizable=1 ; popup window can be resized.
resizable=0 ; popup window can’t be resized.

7# And you know how to change the height and width of the window by changing the values 400 and 450 in the code section above.

In real there are no “sure to success” methods one can assure you. But there are some time tested and proven methods that can definitely win you more diggs ( If you have enough time to spare for these tricks )

2# Don’t ever leave your picture on Digg or Propeller, Put a Dynamic picture or just a symbol.
3# Invest 75% of your time on Digg to make more friends, not just for the name sake or count sake but for the sake of Diggs ( I mean really close ones, who can vote for you. ) ,Whenever you think an article is worth digging digg it and send a shout or message to the author.

That keeps your profile live on Digg, If you can make them think you can be a good friend of theirs there are more chances that they vote for you.

4# Submit articles that are found on well known websites.
You might be having a good guess why a video on youtube or a news article on yahoo are likely to get more Diggs.

Its because Diggers are likely to vote for those Domains which are known to them.

5# Try this, only digg those which get less number of diggs or those who are new to digg. They often check who has digged their article. This is far better than Digg exchanges which have got kevin’s Red eyes these days.

6# Catchy title is what everybody is behind ,so do I.
7# Don’t write brief description, be complete as you can.
8# Write about Digg,apple and technology on Digg about war, peace ,U.S and Iraq on Propeller .Keep in mind that celebs sell everywhere
1# Submit worthy content,I believe this is the last to mention but the must one.

All these ways are just about building a good diggationship ,being known to as many as possible on digg. Try them and add the ways you have found out.

Are your earnings less..?? Have you noticed why your earnings are less.??
Here are some facts to be known if you have the worms mentioned above in your mind

1# First thing to be made clear is that you dont earn as much as it shows in “google adwords keywords external tool (previously adwords sandbox )” .Many bloggers misinterpret adwords cost per click as adsense keywords cost per click (shortly cpc).This google adwords tools shows the maximum amount an advertiser has to pay google to make it show advertisers ads in relevant sites and relevant pages.

Google keeps part of that money (Google has not disclosed the share) and pays publishers another part,poor publishers get as less as 1/4 th or 1/3 rd of the money advertisers are asked to pay google (smart pricing or weight of the site in google too affect your earnings.)However advertisers have some benifits such as “money back for fraud clicks” and money back depending on “Return of Investment”.

2# If yours is a new site or blog then there are possibilities of getting less paying ads on your pages.In every niche there are both high paying as well as low paying ads ,new sites and blogs will get comparitively less paying ads.With time and as the weight of your site increases you will start getting good ads.

New sites need some time to get relevant ads since adsense crawler takes some time to analyse the quality of content, that too makes new websites earn less.( Relevant ads even the less paying ones are far better than the high paying irrelevant ads in performance. )

3# If your pages are not focussed..thats if your pages have variety of content with the keywords that are irrelevant to each other then you are sure to be caught with “smart pricing” and you will be served irrelevant and less paying ads.(thinking that “visitors will click on everything that you place in the hotter regions ” is injurious ).Visitors love to click on what they are searching for.

4# If yours is a “Made For Adsense” (M.F.A) site and if your sites main focus is to earn money then you are sure to earn less.(There are many site out there who are making money with the combination of adsense adwords and spam—- They go to adwords with less paying keywords in a high paying niche ,for example consider the keyword mesothelioma,they go adwords with the keywords “mesothelioma is no more a problem”,”Best 4 sites on mesothelioma” and they will put google adsense ads on the landing pagese which are optimized to get high paying ads such as “mesothelioma” “mesothelioma treatment“.

Creating a site to earn is a good idea but for the mere purpose of earning is bad to the health of internet.

5# Its better to write diffeent content on different subdomains. -If you have a site such as mysite.com and if you want to write about angelina jolie its better to choose a subdomain as angelina.mysite.com . Google considers the content of your whole site to serve ads to your pages.(You might have seen ads that are relevant to your other pages on some of your pages.)

I have tried to explain how to moniter a fellow’s traffic who is using stat meters/counters.This can be done by making use of yahoo search algorithm along with the openness of the companies that provide webmasters the counters to measure stats which are supposed to be confidential.

# If you are using Statcounter search site:statcounter.com This stat is based on all traffic recorded to date or site:statcounter.com Summary

To look into stats on sitemeter
# search for site:sitemeter.com visits or site:sitemeter.com site summary on yahoo search.

For the stats on sitetracker.com .

Yahoo search Um.! didn’t work .I tried using google for this .
Try using site:www.sitetracker.com my site statistics.You may come up with the traffic details of a blog or website thats in competition with you.

Actually i did the same in all of these cases.Site specific search plus text in side the page.Summary /site summary the words i have used above are the words that sitetracker and sitemeter have used on their pages displaying statistics.

Try the above trick with as many free stat counters as possible.You will find some of the results that are of your niche,so that you can estimate the depths of your niche and competition.
Seriously, i have not tried to write a bundle without the fruit.You will definitely find a most relevant site in your niche if you take these tips seriously.

The default comment link anchor text on every blogger powered blogs will be Post a comment.

But by following what the folks say at blogger help we can definitely alter the anchor text (Post a comment.)

They have mentioned the tweak for both classic templates and layouts.I have mentioned both the pieces , as most of the advanced bloggers choose to have a classic template i have focussed mainly on classic template.

For blogs using layouts

Find the <data:postCommentMsg/> tag on your template (Oh! you all know that this tag can be found after you press edit html .) and replace it with your words, Some words like “post your comment” ,” write a comment” ,”say your words” ….

In classic templates
1# On your classic template editor find the <$BlogItemCreate$> tag.
2# This tag by default creates the code shown below when it comes out of the server.

you can change the anchor text to something more cathcy.

The formula above is the pagerank formula being used by google to determine the pagerank of a page.There are some wrong conceptions in applying pagerank formula and on this page i will try to explain how most of us go wrong in understanding pagerank.

Let us take an example
EXAMPLE 1:- page A has 5 back links of pagerank 3 with each of those linking pages having only one outbound link .

According to formula the pagerank will be calculated (ASSUMING D=.85) as below

PR(A)=(1-.085)+ 0.85 (3/1+ 3/1 + 3/1 + 3/1 + 3/1 )

PR(A)=.15 +.85 ( 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 )

PR(A)=.15 +.85 ( 15)

PR(A)=.15 +12.75

PR(A)=12.90

So ,are 5 links of pagerank 3 are enough to have a pagerank of 10.? no
we can not simply add the page ranks as 3+3+3+3+3=15 or 3/2 + 3/2 + 3/2 + 3/2 + 3/2 (2 outbound links) but the whole concept has to be taken as
“5 links of pagerank 3 with 1 outbound link on each page :which can result in pagerank of 3 ”

A minimum of 10 backlinks of pagerank 3 are essential for a pagerank of 4. So these 5 links together can only produce a pagerank of 3 .

EXAMPLE 2:- page A has backlinks from 10 pages with pagerank 5 where each page has 20 outbound links and a page B has backlinks from 10 pages with pagerank 8 where each page has 100 outbound links. Then the pagerank of A will be higher than pagerank of B.

PR(A)= 0.15 +.85 (5*10/20 )

PR(A)= .15 +2.125

PR(A)=2.275

PR(B)=.15 +.85 ( 8*10/100)

PR(B)= .15 +.85 ( 80/100)

PR(B)=.15 +.85 ( .8)

PR(B)=.15 + .68

PR(B)= .83

Even this is wrong. page A has 10 backlinks from pagerank 5 pages with 20 outbound links .
So page A has 10 links from pages of pagerank 5 (20 outbound) hence its pagerank will be 4+ and less than 5 .

While 10 backlinks from pages of pagerank 8 will result in a page of pagerank 7 or 8 or 9 .And in the above case since each linking page has 100 outbound links the resulting pagerank will be 7.

Conclusion :

minimum of (10/.85 ) 11 to 12 pagerank 5 links from the pages having 1 outbound link will result in pagerank 6

minimum of 11 to 12 pagerank 5 links from the pages having 11 to 12 outbound links will result in pagerank 5

(10/.85 )
minimum of 11 to 12 pagerank 5 links from the pages having 110 to 120 outbound links will result in pagerank 4

(10/.85 )
minimum of 11 to 12 pagerank 5 links from the pages having 1100 to 1200 outbound links will result in pagerank 3

generally

10/d pagerank X links frm pages having (y*10) /d outbound links will result in pagerank of

X+log (1/y) to base 10.

where 10 is assumed to be the logarithmic base in pagerank and y is a constant greater than 1/10 and depends on the number of outbound links (almost equal to 1/12 th of number of outbound links.

Note 1: Pageranks can not be simply added as 3/100 + 4/60 + 2/30 + 5/120…..
Note 2: A link from page with PR 8 with 100 outbound links will be equal to a link from a page of PR 6 with only one outbound link.
Note 3:In most of the cases PR 8 link will always be powerful than PR 6 link.
Note 4: The formula of X+log(1/y )to base 10 is my formula and it works in most of the cases ( conditions applied )
